Wow, it’s really been a fiery summer so far. The last few weeks I feel like I’ve been walking around in a desert. What are you doing to stay cool? I’ve been going to the pool (indoors), gushing down smoothies, slurpies, ice cream, popsicles, lemonade, and water. Ahhh, I’ve been missing the beach but it’s too hot now.
But honestly, I know I haven’t been drinking enough H20. Water is essential for our body. Our bodies are made up of 60% water. The recommended amount of water intake varies based on your body weight. Nutritionist, Jeanette Jenkins, states, “half your body weight and drink that number in ounces of water a day. A person who weighs 150 lbs should drink 75 ounces = 4-5 small 16 ounce bottles.”
When your body lacks water it leads to Chronic Dehydration which can cause migraines, arthritis, ulcers, constipation, heartburn, hypertension and much more. So are you really sick or are you suffering with dehydration? Water has many great benefits, it produces healthy glowing skin, energy, positive moods, it aids in weight loss, works as a detoxifier, and much more.
Parents if you have difficulty persuading your little ones to drink water make it fun for them by creating Infused Water.
