A Perspective of Love: Family First
God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in sun-scorched land Psalm 68:6.
God loves family. He first instituted the family in the Garden of Eden. We clearly see God as Lord Jehovah when it concerns mankind. God is the Heavenly Father; He is love! God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son, because He wanted a family (John 3:16 KJV). One might think He gave His Son only on the cross at Calvary, but revelation (divine understanding) from the Book of Genesis reveals that God’s love slayed the Lamb of God from the foundations of the earth. Love gracefully speaks to the Father’s heart on man’s behalf.
Love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8). When the first Adam created the original sin, God met with His council (the Holy Trinity- God the Father, Lord the Son, and the Holy Spirit.) The Lord God said, “Behold the man has become like one of us, to know good and evil. And now lest he put his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever.” What we are reading in the Word, and hearing in the Spirit is the loving response of God as He has already instituted His priesthood to cover the fall of Adam in his manhood. God is drawing the line between man sinful nature and His loving relationship. Let’s back up, after Adam sinned he hid himself and Eve. The first children hid from Father God. They even covered their own nakedness with fig leaves. God’s response to the fall of man was to manifest the animal skin coverings of His sacrificial lamb (Revelation 13:8).
God’s sacrifice means that there was always a slaughter of a pure-living creature whose death atoned the sins of man. God the Father is the first priest of mankind, demonstrating that with the shed of blood, there is remission of sin. God the loving Father has always taught us that the fulfillment of love is a sacrificial act of an honored vessel that is willing to respond in the highest regard to sin, which is mercy! God is love, friends. He has a predestined you to join His family by loving you first (Ephesians 1:6).
